“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…”
loveBig has also partnered with Christian Covenant Home (CCH) Orphanage to help educate and enhance the lives of the children living there in order to help them create a brighter future for themselves and be able to be self-supporting individuals when they leave the orphanage. Since CCH is providing the basic needs of these children through food, clothing, housing and education it is loveBig’s long-term vision to work with CCH to “prepare” these children with hope for future jobs, whether that be through a trade school or university education.
Our Story
Mina is a small rural village in the mountains with limited resources. There are approximately 150 children that live in this area that do not eat on a regular basis. Pastor Supreme saw this need and tried to feed these children on his own at least one or two times a month when he could afford extra food. We felt called to make loveBig’s primary mission to raise funds to establish and support a consistent feeding program for the children in Mina. In Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and great commandment, and the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” loveBig was established to do just that. Love our neighbor.
Matthew 25:35-36 states, ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ In Matthew 25:40, Jesus also says “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”.” By loving the “least of these”, we are loving God Himself.
